How to configure the Fn lever

KFn Lever Function	Choose the role played by the Fn lever in still photography mode. The Fn lever can be used to choose the roles of the front and rear dials or to recall focus settings. It can also be used to select movie mode.
nFn Lever Function	Choose the role played by the Fn lever in movie mode. The Fn lever can be used to choose the roles of the front and rear dials or to recall focus settings.
Fn Lever/Power Lever	The Fn lever can be used as an on/off lever. Use this feature if you would like to use your right hand to turn the camera on or off during shooting.

KFn Lever Function

Choose the role played by the Fn lever in still photography mode.

The Fn lever can be used to choose the roles of the front and rear dials or to recall focus settings. It can also be used to select movie mode.

nFn Lever Function

Choose the role played by the Fn lever in movie mode.

The Fn lever can be used to choose the roles of the front and rear dials or to recall focus settings.

Fn Lever/Power Lever

The Fn lever can be used as an on/off lever. Use this feature if you would like to use your right hand to turn the camera on or off during shooting.

Configuring [KFn Lever Function]

Select [KFn Lever Function] on the [Fn Lever Settings] screen and press the OK button.

Off	Changing the position of the Fn lever has no effect.
mode1	Switch the functions of the front and rear dials by changing the position of the Fn lever. The functions for Positions 1 and 2 conform to the setting selected for [KDial Function].
mode2	Switch between two groups of settings previously selected for [AF Mode], [AF Target Mode], and [AF Target Point]. Press the INFO button while [mode2] is selected, and put a check (P) next to the function switched using the Fn lever. To remove the check, press the OK button again. [AF Mode]: S-AF, C-AF, etc. [AF Target Mode]: XSingle-S, bAll, etc. [AF Target Point]: AF-target position
mode3	Switch the shooting mode by changing the position of the Fn lever. You can switch the shooting mode to n (movie) without rotating the mode dial.

When set to [mode3], the [nFn Lever Function] cannot be used.
This function cannot be used in the following cases.
- [Fn Lever/Power Lever] is set to [ON/OFF] or [OFF/ON].

Configuring [nFn Lever Function]

Select [nFn Lever Function] on the [Fn Lever Settings] screen and press the OK button.

Off

Changing the position of the Fn lever has no effect.

mode1

Switch the functions of the front and rear dials by changing the position of the Fn lever. The functions for Positions 1 and 2 conform to the setting selected for [nDial Function].

mode2

Switch between two groups of settings previously selected for [AF Mode], [AF Target Mode], and [AF Target Point].

Press the INFO button while [mode2] is selected, and put a check (P) next to the function switched using the Fn lever.

To remove the check, press the OK button again.

[AF Mode]: S-AF, C-AF, etc.

[AF Target Mode]: rSingle, bAll, etc.

[AF Target Point]: AF-target position

This function cannot be used in the following cases.
- [mode3] is selected for [KFn Lever Function].
- [Fn Lever/Power Lever] is set to [ON/OFF] or [OFF/ON].

Configuring [Fn Lever/Power Lever]

Select [Fn Lever/Power Lever] on the [Fn Lever Settings] screen and press the OK button.

Fn	The lever functions according to the options selected for [KFn Lever Function] and [nFn Lever Function].
ON/OFF	The lever functions as an ON/OFF lever. Position 1 is on and Position 2 is off.
OFF/ON	The lever functions as an ON/OFF lever. Position 1 is off and Position 2 is on.

The ON/OFF lever cannot be used to turn the camera off when [ON/OFF] or [OFF/ON] is selected. [KFn Lever Function] and [nFn Lever Function] are similarly unavailable.
